Our sound systems are nothing less than professional.
In the early 1990’s, we were one of the few DJ companies in the Bay Area bring the large 18″ Black Widows Subwoofers, in addition to the typical full range speakers to most events. Hence where the name “THUMP” originated from. We Pushed the limits with an affordable concert-quality subwoofer sound at local events and venues. We aimed to deliver a higher performance of sound at a fair cost to our customers. And to this day, we still strive for peak performance with our Pro-Series JBL Speakers and Premium Grade Gear.
We are do not use those tacky DJ gimmicks, but rather about great music and a packed dance floor, filled with energy. We deeply care about a successful and fun celebration and spend hours prepping before the big day. Depending on the number of guests, and the size of the venue for your event, we custom tailor the right sound system that fits that need and your budget. We can bring in a sound system as small as two full range Pro JBL speakers, up to two full range STX Series speakers and four 18″ Concert Series SRX subwoofers.
Our service can also provide you and your guests with additional Lighting Effects, Motion Head Lighting, Up-Lighting, and Special Effects (e.g., Confetti Cannon, CO2 Blasters, High Powered Smoke Machines), all at very reasonable rates.

Our audio and lighting systems are comprised of professional grade products such as Pioneer, Alesis, Shure, Tascam, Bose, JBL to name a few. We not only use top brand pro gear, but we are constantly upgrading to keep up with the advancement of technology in the DJ world.
Many of our DJ’s have gained their experience as Radio Personalities, Club Disc Jockeys, and most importantly at Private Events. Each DJ bring a Digital Music Library of over 35,000 Tracks. In Addition they have access to “The Cloud” for on the fly requests. The large library of music helps our service cater the music to each individual function. Our library has a broad range from the “Big Band” sounds of the 1940’s to the latest dance and San Francisco Bay Area Hip-Hop Tracks of Today.

Joe DJ'd our wedding in Sonoma and was AWESOME! I was scared about having a DJ not know how to mix songs, not have the music selection, or play songs I didn't like. Joe set up telephone meetings before the wedding in which he carefully reviewed our song selection, went through every detail of the reception, and was totally on the ball. He arrived on time, looked and acted professionally, had all the right equipment, and DJ'd an amazing night. At one point, he ran out of songs we gave him and he quickly improvised and played songs that he could tell our guests would like. He was also able to mix songs all night and read the crowd to keep the crowd pumped and dancing. I am extremely demanding and have high standards, but this guy far exceeded expectations. DJ Joe Manifesto was heaven-sent for my company's corporate trade show in September. I was juggling a million details and customer invites and did not have the bandwith to create a compelling playlist, but Joe ran with my basic suggestions and played perfect selections the entire night! Not only were Joe's music choices and pacing on point, he was incredibly easy to work with. He emailed me to clarify all needs ahead of time, and I did not have to seek him out or wait for return phone calls to have details sorted - this was invaluable. Thump Sound was our DJ for the Northern California Corvette Club's 60th Anniversary Celebration and made the evening perfect. Oldies to start with and contemporary dance music to end with. I attended my friends wedding who had it up in Napa area. I must say the Dj did a great job working with the newlyweds prior to the big day, since this wedding ran super smooth and there was never a dull moment. The DJ they used was DJ Joe. He did a great job keeping the night moving. Many weddings can drag on or be a bit dull, but he kept the music rolling with some great acoustic remixes of classic tracks during dinner. It made the dinner period more energizing and kept my attention. He did a good job keeping the crowd engaged during the dancing portion. He brought a really solid sound system that filled the room with the right amount of bass. It really was nice to see he wasn't the cheesy corny talkative DJ. He did his job with announcements and didn't drag it on. He let the music speak for the Night and it kept us on the dance floor. His system seemed pretty new and not some 15 year old relic. The led lighting and special lights really lit up the dance floor. I have his card and hope to use him in the future for a SF corporate events or future holiday party.
